Having problems housebreaking your new puppy?
If you answered yes to any of the above questions, you should consider enrolling your dog into our While-You-Work Program. Simply drop your dog off on your way to work and pick up your tired, happy, well-mannered pup on your way home.
Our While-You-Work Program works wonders with pets and provides excellent results for their owners, as well as convenience. When weekly classes do not work with your schedule or when your dog requires more attention that it would receive in a class, this is the way to go. This program allows your dog to learn at its own pace, perhaps focusing more time on a particular behavior.
During our While-You-Work Training Program Your dog will receive one on one instruction from our certified trainers. We will teach your dog basic obedience and manners to help him become a canine good citizen. We will also work on solving problem behaviors. Dogs that get along well with other dogs may be allowed time to socialize. Your dog will also have the opportunity to romp and play in a safe environment with other dogs, closely supervised by our experienced staff. Each dog will also be given individual attention and play time.
TDI & CGC Program
This six week private program will familiarize you with the exercises your dog will encounter during the CGC and Therapy Dog exam. We will work on improving and proofing existing skills to set you up for success during the exam.
The Canine Good Citizen Program (CGC) is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club (AKC).
Many dog owners choose CGC training as the first step in training their dogs. This lays the foundation for other AKC activities such as obedience, agility, and performance events. As you work with your dog you will discover the many benefits and joys of training your dog.
The primary objective of a Therapy Dog and its handler is to provide comfort and companionship by sharing the dog with patients in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and other institutions where a Therapy Dog is needed. This is done in a way that increases emotional well-being, promotes healing, and improves the quality of life for the people being visited and the staff that cares for them.
