Jamie Rolison
Jamie is a native of Beaufort, North Carolina, transplanting to Virginia in the late-80’s. After running a successful landscaping business for 10+ years, it was time to put the mowers and blowers away and move inside where the temperatures were a bit more tolerable. Jamie went into healthcare and successfully started a nursing career with Bon Secours and Sentara. Jamie can now be seen full-time at Churchland K9 overseeing the daily operations, ensuring each service provided is carried out with love, compassion and dedication.
He began working for Churchland K9 in April, 2014, and decided to purchase the business with his business partner (and husband) Rob Cutchins in June 2017. Jamie and Rob both have a deep love for dogs, which is a good thing since they have 4 of their own (all rescues!). The opportunity to own and run Churchland K9 allows Jamie the chance to put his efforts into something he’s incredibly passionate about – the love and care of dogs. Jamie is his happiest when he’s doing his CK9 work.
Rob Cutchins
Rob is a native of Portsmouth. Attending ODU, majoring in music, and later obtaining a Business Administration Degree from Ashford University.
Rob has grown up with dogs. His parents were breeders of champion Basset Hounds, giving Rob a full introduction to everything from birthing, training, showing, and handling to careful and fruitful fostering. His parents eventually retired from breeding and concentrated primarily on working in fostering rescue Bassets.
Rob’s first dog was “Buffy”, a beautiful Cocker Spaniel, which started his lifelong love of the breed.
Along with rescues Solomon (a Black Lab), Chloe (a Puggle), and Max (a Pomeranian), Jamie and Rob, were adopted by Polo (Rob’s first Cocker Spaniel in nearly 20 years). Polo is blind, but doesn’t let that challenge get the best of him. He has become Rob’s “soul pawmate”, and their bond is unbreakable.
Rob loves his role in the operation of Churchland K9, which takes him more to the business side behind the scenes, while also assisting in all areas of the kennel operation. Together, they’re bringing their boundless love for dogs, their positive approach to business, and a real commitment to doing right by their extraordinarily dedicated clientele to Churchland K9.
